Description:
One of my more obscure finds is this Input/Output typewriter it was part of a much larger IBM setup. I am unable to find the serial number I think its based on an IBM Model B with 180 carriage, it is from 195X and From IBM Toronto Canada The plate on the inside states Transmitting Typewriter 868-B1 Hope to find out more, the only thing I could find online so far is that there is one in a Mining Museum in Australia. It has 2 non standard plugs to connect to larger setup and I have not attempted putting power on the connectors. I have therefore no idea on the typeface.
It is difficult to handle by myself, its quite bulky and heavy.

I am not capable of throwing out odd items, I try to fix old machines and after they are fixed, most just take up space, but still I cannot throw them out. Sometimes I am way over my head and will not even attempt a repair, I then can enjoy the smell and the feel gor a certain time
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the IBM Model B on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the IBM Serial Number page and the IBM Model B By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
