Description:
Cannot properly identify.
No serial number on machine itself. retrieved from an old bill of sales in the suitcase. Suitcase might be from a different typewriter.
Bill of sales says Commodore. Commodore Collegian doesn't seem to exist. Plate at the back says manufactured by OliveR, but OliveR collegian doesn't seem to find a hit either.

I write the odd postcard and letter here and there, and was wasting a significant amount of time choosing which pen to scribe with. I've decided instead to augment my stationery with a typewriter -- a portable one -- and rid myself of the pen troubles. The dilemma is over, until I get a second typewriter.
I think typewriters have a fascinating history and played a very important role in motivating humans to develop a more efficient way of typing.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Tower Collegian on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Tower Serial Number page and the Tower Collegian By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
