Description:
In the spring of 2023 I picked this up at an antique fair in Alameda, California. Purchased as mostly working, just needed to fix up some sticky magic margins.

I am a computer systems engineer and author living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I began collecting typewriters in 2021 when I bought a 1938 L C Smith & Corona Super Speed at a garage sale and then took it to a local shop to be refurbished. I have a knack for the mechanical, so I transitioned to doing some repairs on my own.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal FP on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal FP By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
