Description:
Given to me by an old employer. You never know where you'll find machines when you get a reputation as 'the typewriter guy'. This is my first standard typewriter, and I have to say it's impressive. There's still much more I could do to fully clean out the interior, but so far I'm not noticing a HUGE difference in typing quality between this and a good portable like a JP-1 or Kolibri. The sheer weight of the carriage is nifty, however!

I'm a high school English teacher. Whenever I have to teach my students how to format a paper, I unleash a flock of Charger 11's at them! (they love it). I am most interested in the Brother brand, but I dabble in any and all machines.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal FP on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal FP By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
