Description:
It's a good thing I like this machine so much; it's had such a tough life that it'd be really difficult to sell it on.
I bought it from a listing marked "untested". The body seems a little squewwhiff, the paintwork has aged poorly, it ra ndomly adds a spa ce after typing the letter a (Some days not at all, others, most of the time). Its faults aside, this thing has SOOOO much character. A wonderous typing action. It was my first ever Hermes and within seconds of typing on it, I knew what all the fuss was about. This is a keeper for sure.

Relatively new to the hobby - Bought an Everest Mod 90 after watching a Violet Evergarden anime in December 2021.
My collection now consists of 37 machines - I don't count the Linea 88, Halda Star 7, Selectric II & Canon AP100 parts machines, as all four are now just nuts and bolts and screws & springs.
My absolute favourite remains (just) my 1939 Royal KMM. For me, it's both the prettiest and the "warmest" to type on. It has "Majik" (with a nod to Sandy1)
I count my blessings that I am lucky enough to have amassed such a beautiful bunch.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes 2000 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes 2000 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
