Description:
I purchased this machine from a seller in the Netherlands. He converted the keyboard from the standard German QWERTZ to QWERTY. It's in excellent condition and it has the nicest type-action of any machine I've ever used. I put pink nail polish over the tab key because I kept mistaking it for the backspace key. By the serial number it looks like it was produced in 1959--near the latter end of the middle years of this model's production.

I was born after the decline of the age of manual typewriters, and I prefer the term "typewriter user" to "typewriter collector"--not because I'm not a collector, but because I initially used typewriters because they allowed me to be a more productive writer. Since 2010 I've acquired about a dozen machines, both electric and manual, but I've never possessed more than 3 or 4 at a time. My current interest is in East German machines.
