1959 Adler Primus Serial # 1629764 1959 Adler Primus typewriter, Serial # 1629764 Tony Reynolds's 1959 Adler Primus typewriter. 2024-09-28 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Tony Reynolds: 1959 Adler Primus Serial # 1629764 I picked this machine up from a FB listing in Vancouver, WA, Sept. 2024. Other than having a BUNCH of eraser shavings (which blew out easily), and a blemish under the paint on the left-hand front corner, the machine is in "nearly-new" condition. Pretty nice for 65 years young. Machine types well with a new ribbon, and came with the original aluminum clamshell case (in good condition), as well as the original manual, cloth and brush.

Retired industrial designer, now serving as a pastor. I have a collection of about 75 machines. I specialize in portables, and have only a few electric machines. In my opinion, typewriters and bicycles are the best examples of the man-machine interface. I live in SW Washington State, USA.
