Description:
Came all the way from Germany...This is either the most meticulously cannibalized typewriter in history...Or it is a "Cutaway View" for "Demonstration Purposes" or perhaps "Exhibition / Display Purposes" in the Torpedo/Remington office. Maybe even for a Museum. As you can see in the photos the outer skin is gone, and most of the keys, etcetera. The Solitiare logo is in a special location (see pictures). The name Torpedo is nowhere to be found... It does function properly...and built like a tank.

I am an avid typewriter enthusiast with currently over one hundred (100) typewriters in my collection (and growing). I am a proud TWDB Patron. I have also collected vintage briefcases (mostly Hartmann) Movie Cameras (8mm & 16mm) and many Fountain Pens. I am the author of the novella 'Killer on the Canvas'. I am also a big Don Quixote fan. I make my home in Southern California.
My Typewriter manufacture dates currently range from 1883 to 1996.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Torpedo Solitaire on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Torpedo Serial Number page and the Torpedo Solitaire By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
