Description:
The first electric portable typewriter, Smith Corona model 5TE in seafoam green color. This specimen was found under a ton of dust in an old warehouse on the Como lake, certainly unused for many many years, it was a big surprise for me to see how with a minimal and easy intervention (I'm not a skilled typewriter repairman !!) it has returned to work perfectly.

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
