1958 Royal Parade Serial # PR-3746244 1958 Royal Parade typewriter, Serial # PR-3746244 Michael Hoehne's 1958 Royal Parade typewriter. 2015-06-27 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Michael Hoehne: 1958 Royal Parade Serial # PR-3746244 neat little portable manual; could be mistaken for a Futura 800 if the two are not side-by-side (And you're not very familiar with them. The Parade is a lot smaller.)--see the last pic. The case looks strangely old-fashioned for this style, doesn't it? All-metal body; cast aluminum?

Neither margin stop stops the carriage ... yet.

While I find all of mankind's inventions interesting, I am most enchanted by the human-scale arts and devices, the ones that can be created (and repaired) in a home workshop or studio; the ones that can be understood by looking at them; the ones that do something useful or stir admiration. Typewriters work for me.
