Description:
This typewriter ended up being quite a project machine, but I got everything fixed that could be fixed and it's now working great. The body is a lovely sky blue colour and it has a Hungarian keyboard. The typeface is Erika's equivalent to Congress Pica.
Issues addressed: frozen typebars, off-centre ribbon vibrator and support, several keys loose, right side case lock spring bent in TW, colour selector link slipping under shift stop screw, right knob bent (NF), tab selector bypassing tab stops, bell bent out of position and not ringing, ribbon cover not opening properly or staying attached, small body piece near return lever missing (NF), bottom latch on case missing (NF), drawband broken, right carriage release bent, paint cracking with some flaked or chipped off (stabilized and left alone), rear metal emblem missing (NF), two feet posts in case snapped off during shipping, some keys missing paint on letters, left ribbon mechanism jammed, paper support bent and almost snapped off.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Erika 10 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Erika Serial Number page and the Erika 10 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
