Description:
This is a 1956 Smith Corona Silent Super that I bought. And the machine wasn't packed properly when I got it. But it was luckily in its case and the beauty survived the trip. And I must say this is definitely something to own. It has a very light touch even on the highest setting, margins are easy to set. And most importantly, platen removal couldn't get anymore easier. Just disengage the Ratchet, push on a lever right above the carriage lock, and it comes out with ease. Thats probably my most favorite feature about this machine. It does have some wear to it, but the whole machine works. I actually bought this because of a news channel that did a report on typewriters and it feature the exact same color and model that I have now. This machine also comes with a paper insertion ruler on the left side of the platen.

My name is TypewriterMan426. I am a typewriter collector and also write on functioning typewriters as a hobby. I currently own a couple of typewriters from different eras and own different brands. I hope to collect more in the future and hope to continue writing on these beautiful machines.
