I thought this was going to be quick and easy... but nothing ever is, is it? While the machine itself is very clean and didn't take much effort, the ribbon selector was an absolute PITA. Whomever used this typewriter last had, alas, resigned themselves to typing only in red, because that's where it was stuck. I can understand how the knob on the outside got mangled somehow, but the metal piece inside? I have no idea. It took over an hour and taking it out twice to get it back into its original shape, but it works again! The vibrator adjustment is still slightly off - bottoms of the descenders like p and y and q and the underscore get a bit of the red - but all in all, it's a considerable improvement.

I've been collecting typewriters since 2010. I currently have 100+ machines in my possession. A little over half of them reside in my "personal" collection, while the rest are machines I intend to clean up for sale, or are long-term restoration projects (I'm looking at you, Olivers and Foxes!).
