Description:
When I got this beauty, it was non functional due to the carriage binding and many of the keys stuck. After replacing the rubber spacers and adding new feet and giving the segment and key bars a thorough cleaning, this machine is nearly mint. It’s one of my favorite machines for longer typing sessions with great key action and ultra smooth carriage.

I grew up with a fascination and deep appreciation for mechanical business machines. Mid-century typewriters, cash registers and adding machines. To appreciate the magic of these devices and the synergy of gears, springs and levers working together in perfect harmony is quite beautiful and an understated marvel of engineering and quality workmanship that has produced products that work exactly as intended for decades and even a century after they were produced. This is something that doesn’t exist in today’s world. My small collection (currently 14) consists of mainly portables, ultra-portables and a few Smith Corona 6 series electrics, which I use for amateur writing projects.
