Description:
My first typewriter, never restored, but fully functional. Obtained from the shed of a retired longshoreman who frequented Tangier Island, which, like the typewriter itself, holds on only thanks to the diligence of the determined and reverent few. Regularly used now by my middle school students who find writing to be such a chore... unless they can use the typewriter.
