Description:
The Kolibri is an outstanding machine. Elegant, fast and diminute. The name says it all.
I got it from a carpenter who had no use for it. A bit expensive, taking into account it needed some repairs. At first glance it looked like someone had dropped it. The quick release lever was damaged, and the right knob was missing. Last but not least, there is the paper arm. I thought there never was one, but there was. You can see the remains of it in the photo gallery. Big thanks to Piotr Trumpiel, who diagnosed this issue!
In addition to all the damage it needed a complete cleaning and lubrication. Putting everything together, this typewriter has not been exactly cheap.
Fortunately, after all the repairs it works wonderfully. ItĀ“s a pleasure using it and carrying it everywhere. IĀ“m glad I own this typewriter now instead of the man who sold it.

The first typewriter I saw was my grandpa´s Olivetti Linea 98 at the office. It was just a curio for me. Then I was given a Nakajima, which I didn´t use and my grandfather took it from me because it was easier to handle than the bulky Linea 98. Now I own that typewriter, and I started a little collection in Valladolid, Spain. The Nakajima, which is "my" typewriter only returned home in 2017, almost 20 years later, when he wanted a better typewriter.
A collection that started small grew into something bigger, a nuisace for my family and a great source of satisfaction for me.
