The first three series of Everest model K2 typewriter are similar, the main difference being the color of the keyboard, see last photo.. The fourth series is easier to recognize because the body color changes from light brown to two-tone white/grey. These are very common and inexpensive typewriter to find today in Italy, this specimen was bought more for the very cheap price than for real interest having already two EvK2. It was however in good condition with a couple of mechanical defects easily fixed.

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Everest K2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Everest Serial Number page and the Everest K2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
