Got for $5 as a poor, beaten up little thing. Missing some trim and not typing. Platen pawl broken, text badly aligned, drawband loose, all that. Whole frame seemed bent. Have got it to work a bit.

The unit with lid
The trim at the back is missing, so this is exactly how it looked when bought. The band was not broken, but the drum spring was broken, and the drum spun freely.
The drum had been removed before -- you could tell by the scratches. I dismantled it, got a broken but of spring out and put the split bolt back in.
Had some other adjustments to make to get anything readable out of it. Here is a view from below.
