Description:
Sturdier than its plastic successor, but more complex on the inside. Large, solid carriage return lever gives the idea you are using a regular portable. Escapement trip needs very precise adjustment.
Interesting design features: tilting keys to keep them horizontal, ribbon color selector for black or stencil (but not red) and the case design.
The touch control knob on the left side of the body is missing. The ratchet release lever on the carriage was also missing, but I replaced it with one from a later model.

I live in The Netherlands.
Most common typewriter brands over here are Triumph/Adler, Olympia, Erika, Olivetti, Remington and Brother.
I collect and restore typewriters to learn about their design and to write with them.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Adler Tippa on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Adler Serial Number page and the Adler Tippa By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
