Description:
The color drew me to this one. Even though various shades of blue are common in the world of typewriters, this one stands out, especially with the gold colored face plate and gold rabbit ears for a paper rest. Like others (Royal FP, some QDL's), you push the Underwood logo to "pop the hood." The typeface makes for an attractive typed letter.

Typewriter aficionado (aflicionado?) located in the U.S. Midwest. Freshly retired, I am often asked what I will do with my time? If they could see my typewriter collection, they wouldn’t ask!
I enjoy finding, fixing, and using typewriters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Underwood De Luxe on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Underwood Serial Number page and the Underwood De Luxe By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
