Description:
I bought this at a local sale running an online auction, so it was sight unseen except for a blurry snapshot. It had some issues, to be sure, not least among them the type rest bracket screws were missing and the ābā typebar was physically snapped in two.
I found the bracket screws inside the machine, and a fellow collector sent me a type bar to replace mine with. I performed a very successful surgery changing out the type bar, which boosted my experience and confidence as a repair person. I chased the fulcrum wire with a knitting needle (pink in the picture) to hold things together as I worked my way to the b-key.
It is really nice to type on; I can see why these are so popular among enthusiasts.

Typewriter aficionado (aflicionado?) located in the U.S. Midwest. Freshly retired, I am often asked what I will do with my time? If they could see my typewriter collection, they wouldnāt ask!
I enjoy finding, fixing, and using typewriters.
