Description:
A 1956 Smith-Corona Clipper. This is the basic line of typewriter. No tab system, no = or 1 keys, and no paper guide. Most of these seem to have the card holders, but this one does not, although it does have the rail for them. Comes with the typical "Holiday Case" of the era with the removal mounting hardware. This typewriter is equipped with Pica No. 1 typeface. (10 pitch, 6 lines per inch.)

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Clipper on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Clipper By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
