Description:
This is the machine I know the least about, despite being my first purchase, so I am posting it in the hopes that fellow Typewriter Hunters might have some clues about its origins. I am guessing it's from 1956 based on the serial number I finally found (thanks, Antique Typewriter Collectors!). It was purchased in Austin, Texas somewhere around 2014 or 2015, and has been using the (possibly original?) ribbon it came with since then.
This machine has a sticker on the inside of the lid which reads "Royal Typewriter Company, Division of Royal McBee Corporation. Made in USA. Protected by US and foreign patents covered by one or more of the following US patents: 2157607 2678122"
The back of the machine also indicates it is a Royal with this following statement: "Royal Typewriter Company, Division of Royal McBee Corporation. Made in United States of America. Protected by U.S. and foreign patents."
The machine still works great, despite its age, and came in a hard-sided case (which is also a shade of brown) that opens and closes but is missing its key.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Quiet De Luxe on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Quiet De Luxe By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
