Description:
Strange beast for me this. It came bundled with my SCM Silent and I thought (like so many others in my collection) I'd clean it up and sell it on . . . It stayed for a goodly while.
I LOVE the totally random and ever so slightly "off" alignment this machine lays down. It's unmistakably typewritten without being annoyingly higgledypiggledy. It's not my oldest machine, but it feels that way. Its layout seems antiquated, and the strike angle and carriage return lever are bonkers. It is, however, SUPER fast and chugs away laying line after line without a hitch or a complaint. I rate my IGC7 highly, and whilst this isn't quite in the same league as that in terms of feel, it really is a lovely little compact machine to look at and type on.
* Donated to The Royal School of Needlework Ba course.

My first machine was an Everest Mod 90 that I bought after watching the Violet Evergarden anime in December 2021. My addiction/collection began then and now consists of 39 machines.
My absolute favourite remains (just) my 1939 Royal KMM. For me, it's both the prettiest and the "warmest" to type on. It has "Majik" ( a nod to Sandy1)
I count my blessings that I am lucky enough to have amassed such a beautiful bunch.
