Description:
I purchased this Smith-Corona Clipper from a seller who was moving. Looking up the serial number on the TWDB, it must have been manufactured in 1955.
After purchase, I found that several keys were sticking, most notably the Y and 3. I gave it a thorough cleaning and this has resolved most issues, though the Y key still sticks consistently (any advice would be appreciated! I use mineral spirits to clean since I've found that while oil or lubricant initially clears up problems, eventually it attracts dust and dirt). The caps lock usually does not work properly; it does lock down but does not stay in place after typing one letter.
The case isn't in great aesthetic condition, but it is fully functional, though it does not have a key.
Otherwise, the machine is fully functional. When I type, this is usually the machine I will use.
