Description:
This was a customer repair through a store I do work for.
This particular QDL came in with the owner wanting it to work properly but no reference to what was actually wrong.
Turns out that the escapement was snagging resulting in erratic advancement of the carriage. The 'U' slug was also twisted, and the ribbon vibrator was stuck jammed in the raised position.
After this was rectified, the machine worked brilliantly, although it seems to have suffered a drop in the past, with the shell all knocked awry. Other than that, it's a very fine typewriter.
This machine also bears the AG prefix of being Green rather than blue.
