I own an SM3 and, to me, the touch is identical. This one has a dinky, Ellite 8 typeface which saved it from being flipped and has earned itself a place in my collection. The SM2s seem to be a lot cheaper than the SM3s. If you can do without tabs, then I'd say save yourself some money and get a hold of a decent SM2.

UK member with Greek Cypriot heritage, living in London.
My first machine was an Everest Mod 90 that I bought after watching the Violet Evergarden anime in December 2021. My addiction/collection began then and now consists of 39 machines.

My absolute favourite remains (just) my 1939 Royal KMM. For me, it's both the prettiest and the "warmest" to type on. It has "Majik" ( a nod to Sandy1)
I count my blessings that I am lucky enough to have amassed such a beautiful bunch.
