Description:
May 2021 update—this was in the trunk of a car that was hit and as a result there are many bent features at this point. Mostly the cover and carriage, but I have to think the whole thing is a loss. I really liked this unit, very sad to lose it.
Wonderful desktop Olympia. Built like a tank and just as sturdy. This unit is in reliable working order. Carriage has a 12 inch platen. Some paint wear on front frame near space bar. Fun sticker from Coulee office equipment. Nicely maintained typewriter.

I have a passion for analog methods of putting words on paper. I own a letterpress shop that helps to fill this desire, but found typewriters also have a role in producing written materials with a value-added dimension. I'm drawn to working typewriters and renovate them as I am able. I'm pretty handy with things mechanical. Overall, I feel more like an enthusiast with a collection that will get used by design. I understand the temptation to buy them all, but I don't have a store to sell them in. I'm also no expert in repair, so it's a matter of finding the best typefaces and typing feel that helps me to get words on paper. Type on!
