Description:
Very nice condition Groma Kolibri from 1955 in a locely green colour. Standard pica typeface. Originally bought by the father of the seller who was helping her parents clean out their home for old stuff. Sadly the father of the seller was admitted to the hospital shortly after they posted the machine in an ad. A few days later, the seller told me she would bring the typewriter to the hospital while visiting her father there and I could meet her outside. I did as much and wished them well, but from what I understand; her father never left that hospital. There's something a bit morbidly icky about buying this machine while the owner was literally on his death bed, but there is something kind of poetic about it as well.

I am a Norwegian fellow who enjoys tinkering and fixing up typewriters. One day I decided I wanted a typewriter to write letters on. I bought one that turned out not to work. I got annoyed and decided I should be able to figure out what was wrong and fix it. I did it, but the rush of successfully mending such an intricate machine was like a drug. I wanted more. I decided I would try to buy non-functioning, but pretty machines, fix them and sell them before repeating the process. What I didn't expect was that I would fall in love with the machines I fix so now I suddenly find myself a bit of a collector.
