Description:
Nickname "King Henry"
My first desktop standard, machine. Purchased on eBay for $35, I spent more on shipping than I did on the machine but am happy with the purchase. It does seem to skip spaces some but that may be related to my typing technique, I will play around a bit more with that. As a pica machine I find the typeface to be very clean and easy to read.

Metastatic cancer fighter and sudden cardiac arrest survivor who has gotten into vintage typewriter collecting after realizing that life is short and typewriters are fascinating. I currently have 9 machines, 2 ultraportables (a Hermes Baby Spanish keyboard and Hermes Rocket), 4 medium portables (an SM3, an S/C Silent and Silent Super and a Hermes 3000), and 3 desk standards (an SG1, Royal HH and S/C Super Speed). My machines range from 1947 to 1968 and I type on all of them and have given each of them a name. Have I mentioned that life is short? I look forward to putting together my galleries for all 9 machines. I am having great fun with this obsessi- I mean hobby. I live in San Diego, California.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal HH on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal HH By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
