Description:
HH Elite with a 15" platen. Bought clearanced for $20 at a consignment shop. The first HH I've found in the wild, so with Elite typeface and a large platen, it was coming home with me despite the condition being less than ideal. Does seem to have full function, but very dusty and a little rusty.
Did not come with spools, so need to buy an appropriately sized ribbon and spools before taking a type sample.

First typewriter bought in 6/2023, now at over 30 in my collection with most recorded in the galleries. There's a special place in my heart for Smith-Coronas, blue typewriters, and typewriters from 1964 (my parents' birth year). Prefer manuals to electrics, portables to ultra portables or desktops, but will head home with anything if it's cheap enough and functional/repairable. I've successfully gifted typewriters to two siblings, a best friend, and an in-law. Keeping up with my lifelong tradition of making and repairing by hand. When not typing or working on a typewriter, I'm often reading, gardening (vegetable), preserving harvests (canning, dehydrating, freezing), knitting, sewing, writing letters/short stories, or shooting film photography. I like the slow, analog life.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal HH on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal HH By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
