Description:
Purchased on 4/14/2016
This is an extremely bare-bones model, if you can't tell from the photos! It has none of the features of most of the other Companions I've seen. There is no ribbon selector, no touch control, no margin release, and no tabs. Margins are set by hand by flipping down the back and moving them around. Oddly enough, it has a non-shifted exclamation mark (but no 1), and instead of a cent/@ it has a degree/division sign key.

I've been collecting typewriters since 2010. I currently have 100+ machines in my possession. A little over half of them reside in my "personal" collection, while the rest are machines I intend to clean up for sale, or are long-term restoration projects (I'm looking at you, Olivers and Foxes!).
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Companion on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Companion By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
