Description:
Senior Riter with a Torpedo escapement. Was featured on a video about Torpedo escapements on the YouTube channel of Lucas Dul. The spacing on the printed letters seems a bit condensed, which might be that the escapements were not exactly alike? The case is from the old torpedo too, since the case of the Senior Riter was destroyed in transit. The Keyboard is Scandinavian with umlauts, etc. Great typer action as is true of most torpedos.

I have a passion for analog methods of putting words on paper. I own a letterpress shop that helps to fill this desire, but found typewriters also have a role in producing written materials with a value-added dimension. I'm drawn to working typewriters and renovate them as I am able. I'm pretty handy with things mechanical. Overall, I feel more like an enthusiast with a collection that will get used by design. I understand the temptation to buy them all, but I don't have a store to sell them in. I'm also no expert in repair, so it's a matter of finding the best typefaces and typing feel that helps me to get words on paper. Type on!
