Description:
A quirky but well-built machine, hard to find anywhere, the Calanda is a sturdy, solid portable with an uncommonly broad segment and widely spaced carriage rails. Other unusual features include a lever on the right of the carriage that you push as you move the carriage to adjust the left margin. The mainspring is also directly connected to the carriage, without any drawband. The machine uses a tilt shift.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Calanda F on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Calanda Serial Number page and the Calanda F By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
