Description:
Picked up from Shopgoodwill on Minnesota. Nothing needed to be fixed, just normal cleaning and degunking. I'm still working on my typing technique, so it's hard to distinguish technique issues from subtle issues like ghost strikes. Lovely machine to type on.

Retired software engineer, enjoying troubleshooting problems knowing the root cause is always a hardware problem. Unless it's an operator problem, of course. I currently have three, all manuals, one each from the 40's, 50's, and 60's. We'll see if I can hold it to three, but the 30's and 70's beckon.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Sterling on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Sterling By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
