Description:
This had that white "deposit" on keytops (not really a "deposit" but an exudate of plasticizer from within the keytops). I used to clean these with a good scrubbing with alcohol, but recently discovered that an adhesive-residue-remover called, in the US, Goo-Gone works much faster against this stuff. A few minutes washing with it on a paper towel and cotton buds to get the sides and backs, and it is no longer repulsive. Then I polish with Simichrome and finish with a paste wax.
Royal Quiet De Luxes sure type nice.

While I find all of mankind's inventions interesting, I am most enchanted by the human-scale arts and devices, the ones that can be created (and repaired) in a home workshop or studio; the ones that can be understood by looking at them; the ones that do something useful or stir admiration. Typewriters work for me.
