I bought it because I was intrigued by the fact that Woody Allen has used his SM3 for his entire life to type everything he has ever written, and he said that it is built like a tank. I was not disappointed, it's a fantastic, rugged, precise machine that has everything a typist could want, including 1/2 spacing, which is one of my favorite features of any machine. And it's so beautiful.

Purchased on eBay for about $60.
