1953 Juwel Flott Serial # 102094 1953 Juwel Flott typewriter, Serial # 102094 Feli Lessel's 1953 Juwel Flott typewriter. 2026-10-27 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Feli Lessel: 1953 Juwel Flott Serial # 102094 (Hopefully) the last acquisition for a few weeks...
A Juwel Flott, seemed pretty beaten up but ended up fine overall. It has a (personally) very nice olive green finish and quite unique key response compared to the younger Olympias of my collection, though I assume it to be the norm for older designs.
Originally, most movement was sluggish and full of gunk but it was easy to clean out. Had to remove one badly connected piece which I assume to be the carriage lock, and the backspace spring was missing, which was easily replaced. It has a standard QWERTZ keyboard with minimal keys (42) without any addable accents ( ´ and ` ).
The typeface is 10 Pitch and a sort of slightly thick PICO font, which i find very pleasing to the eye

Back of the machine. It has no bell or back stop, only for the starting line. You can also see the rubber band used to replace the missing backspace spring.

a VERY upfront spacebar, no idea why it's that high or how to fix it. It works normal otherwise...

The Typeface, with presumably the makers stamp (AR) and font number (367). It doesnt return anything online but it looks like any other PICO.

Originally involved in photography, repairing and collecting old cameras. Now looking to do similar for typewriters as well as mechanical calculating machines. Who knows what's next...
