Some of the enamel (on the front plate just under the keyboard and in the middle of the lid) appear to be from the keyboard unit being removed and reinserted.

The carriage width says 130 on its scale and it measures 45cm across.

Description:

The enamel has chipped off in a few places and the chrome is pitted on a most of the chrome pieces. Some of the enamel (on the front plate just under the keyboard and in the middle of the lid) appear to be from the keyboard unit being removed and reinserted.

The carriage width says 130 on its scale and it measures 45cm across.

The plate says "Armstrong & Springhall Ltd. Throughout New Zealand and in the Pacific Islands"

The plate inside the lid says "Please use ribbons for Imperial 66 in this machine"

Given that the unit came with a ribbon which had '66' stamped on it, it seems someone was following instructions
