1952 Royal RP Serial # RP13-4812141 1952 Royal RP typewriter, Serial # RP13-4812141 Aaron Friedrich Lotar Rolf Klamp's 1952 Royal RP typewriter. 2021-05-09 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Aaron Friedrich Lotar Rolf Klamp: 1952 Royal RP Serial # RP13-4812141 Another precious catch in the bundle that came along with Remington Electri-conomy, and has the same provenance as it. HavenĀ“t paid much attention first, when I watched the auction on eBay, cause the Remington had lighted the spark, but when I realised what Model this electric Typewriter is, I was even more exited. Gladly the lot counted 15 electrical Machines of all ages and had to be picked up, so I stayed the only bidder.

According to the other Serial Numbers in the Database it could be made in 1951, but maybe also a little later, in 1952. If someone has a definite date at hand, I would love to know.

I couldnĀ“t make a function test, as the power cord is missing. I aeve tried to find a fitting plug anywhere in the internet, by surching the manufacturer name and so on, but without chance. I only found a seller for the socked, located in the USA, who specified it as some sort of vintage socket for amplifier and music equipment. The plan is allready made, to make a plug out of epoxy, to run (or even test) this machine. But I donĀ“t know when this happens, as I tend to stay on the lookout for more Typers^^ Most people here will understand. X-D But if someone comes across a "TOWER" two hole plug , or has a hint where I could maybe find one, I would appreciate it!
