This is essentially the same machine as the 1956 QDL I just posted here, but this one cost me much less and I actually like the typeface a lot better. It's not a bad looking machine -- I love the little art deco-ish designs around the levers on the front -- but gray crinkle paint just isn't as sexy as glossy teal. I don't recall having to do much of anything to this one. It just worked. I actually think the typing feel is better on this than on the more sought-after colorful versions.
