Great, ultraflat machine. This had to have been the longest hunt of my career, taking almost three years to find a decent example for a reasonable price on eBay. It's definitely worth it, however. The typing action is not amazing, very 'clonky', but in the stowed position this machine can fit in the document sleeve on the back of the driver's seat in my Miata, which is just too cool. Something less cool is that from what I can only assume is the rock-hard platen, the type slugs have a habit of cutting the actual ribbon to shreds as it's used, which is fantastic because I need to get custom sized ribbons for this machine. Yay!

I'm a high school English teacher. Whenever I have to teach my students how to format a paper, I unleash a flock of Charger 11's at them! (they love it). I am most interested in the Brother brand, but I dabble in any and all machines.
