Description:
The Olivetti Studio 44! I didn't think I would be able to get one of these this year. It's a beautiful beast of a portable! I love the design of this machine especially the radiator looking front and finally a portable with large levers including the very oversized carriage return lever which reminds me of a tongue don't you think? I really enjoy typing on this typewriter, the keys are comfortable and something out of the ordinary for me compared with what I'm used to. It's very precise when it comes to typing on it. Though it's a huge piece for portable standards, I think it might actually be the deepest manual typewriter I own or at least the deepest portable. If it wouldn't have been for the case I might not even considered it as a portable xD. But speaking of cases, it have such a nice case! It's on split top spot together with the Royal Royalite 120 case, when it comes to aesthetics.
It works very well the only thing of note is the long scratch on the backside and underneath the carriage on the left hand side. The leather strips on the edge of the case together with some of the fabric/material had gotten lose so I glued it back and it looks passable now in my opinion.
Cheers!

Hi my name is Kewin and I'm a 24 years old from Sweden. I have a few hobbies like drawing and playing guitar but I do also like myself some project here and there which is where my interest in typewriters fits in. I have always collected things through my life but I did not expect typewriters to be my next big passion in collecting. I started collecting typewriters in the beginning of 2022 and so far I have 95* of them (4 of which is currently disassembled) . I find it really enjoyable to pickup a typewriter at a thrift store/second hand and starting to clean it up and get it to a working condition to the best of my ability and knowledge. (Excuse all the dog hairs in my pictures, I do actually try to remove the hair before taking the pictures. xD) Cheers!
