Description:
Found in Hawkesbury, Ontario, from the daughter of a teacher who came into its possession presumably from the school. Was used by the teacher to type hand-outs and other course material.
Came as is, without the chrome trim embellishments, normally present on the sides and back.
Pica 10 cpi, Canadian bilingual keyboard. The type slugs are stamped DP, and some also have U2. Oh, and the number 8 caracter has a hat!
Still have to sand the platen a bit and clean the pink eraser crumbs and white out flakes near the typing area.

Bonjour! I am from the region of Montreal, Quebec and moved to Ottawa, Ontario in 1992.
Amateur watchmaker and machinist, I love anything mechanical, hydraulic or electric. I have restored American and Canadian clocks and small lathes, milling machines and a jig bore.
Most of my typewriters have French Canadian QWERTY keyboards, with some exception for rare finds.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Underwood Rhythm Touch on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Underwood Serial Number page and the Underwood Rhythm Touch By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
