Description:
This beautiful Sterling was a gift from my US pen pal. He brought it as carry-on baggage when he flew over to visit me. (“Sir, what is the device we are seeing at our x-ray machine?”)
The platen of this machine is in surprisingly good condition. The soft rubber really adds to the writing experience. To make the machine even more interesting (and useful) it has the at and cent symbols replaced by the plus and equal sign. This makes me wonder what the machine was used for. Unfortunately that is unknown, but I do know that it will be used to send letters to my friend.
Thanks Steve.

I live in The Netherlands.
Most common typewriter brands over here are Triumph/Adler, Olympia, Erika, Olivetti, Remington and Brother.
I collect and restore typewriters to learn about their design and to write with them.
