Description:
My first entry into the Database is this 1951 Smith Corona Silent, from a flea market "as-is" with what I thought was a broken drawband. It turned out to be a stuck pulley.
It has an excellent case, and was obviously well cared for, as it's easily my manual that needs the least work. Service done by myself was cleaning and lubricating the drawband pulley, and cleaning and lubricating the mechanism to advance the platen.
