Description:
This was my first typewriter. It belonged to my dad. He used it for letters and for typing up his cases/reports as game warden. I keep the "Clean Seas" decal on the side--my dad put it there. He worked on oil spill clean up while in the Coast Guard.
These are great typewriters--snappy and solid. I buy them when I find them for giving/selling.
This typewriter is my "if you could only grab one" typewriter.

Typewriter user since childhood--"Endofthehall Press" (produced a magazine for my big sister, I did) and avid hunter for many years. Partial to portables/ultraportables, but do love my standard models too. I use my typewriters for letters, recipes, lists, stories, pondering, and in art/fabric creations.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Silent on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Silent By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
