Description:
My gateway typewriter, found at a Humane Society Thrift in Bar Harbor, Maine for $5. It was working but in dusty musty condition. At that price it went into the trunk with no hesitation. A friend helped clean and restore it and it now has a place of honor on my work desk, where it is occasionally pressed into service to fill out forms or write notes.

I am a librarian, artist, writer, and co-author of the book Desegregation in Northern Virginia Libraries (The History Press, 2023). I like to write letters and poems and make type-doodles on my typewriters. Currently my collection is centered around midcentury models.
