Description:
Found on eBay for about 30 GBP delivered. As usual, it was very dirty, which is odd given the clamshell case.
It had several issues:
* Failure to feed: was due to sticky labels stuck on the fore and aft feed rollers
* Carriage return lever bent down, caused by previous owner not folding CR lever before closing lid: removed CR lever, and straigtened it)
* Missing Right platen knob: not found a replacement yet
* Missing handle on the carriage release lever: will try to make one, or adapt a thumb nut.
Typeface Specimen:

Software engineer by day, and typewriter newbie by night.
I got my first typewriter when I was a child, one of the kid's plastic ones, but was not satisfied.
I moved on the first real one, a portable Silver-Reed Silverette S, which I still own today, and use once in a while.
