Description:
Japanese typewriter.
The Toshiba typewriter input method was designed by Yusaku Shinozawa in 1918. In this approach the list of Japanese characters is curled around a drum. Users rotated the hand wheel with their left hand, moved the needle to the desired position, and pushed the key with their right hand to select a character.
